PROFESSIONAL SURF TRAINING
Surfing is something many of us dream of, but few actually get the opportunity to experience. Whether it's fear of the ocean, a lack of knowledge or simply not having the equipment necessary, most of us never get to feel the joy of catching a wave, standing up and riding it into shore. Now thanks to "Doc" and the staff at Paskowitz Surf Camp anyone can learn to surf. This summer the family will celebrate 30 years of professional surfing instruction; a testament to their love and dedication to the sport. With a student per instructor ratio of 3:1 and 2:1, individual focus and attention to safety is a priority. You'll learn from the pros. PCS champion surfers are true Professional Surf Trainers with over 30 years of proven curriculum on how to teach you to surf. Instructors are CPR, First Aid Certified, not to mention a few professional championships thrown in. The Paskowitz Surf Camp is America's first surf school. Established in 1972, it was the first of its kind and is still the best. They have assembled the finest instructors in the world, some of them with up to 10 years of surf experience with the family.
LEARN TO SURF VACATION
Whether you've never surfed before; are a novice or even an advanced surfer, they guarantee you will improve. You will learn to stand and to ride waves. You will experience the surfer lifestyle, and really get what it's all about. Best of all, you'll do it while having fun, because at the Paskowitz Surf Camp fun is an essential part of good surfing. They focus on the beginners experience into the sport of surfing no matter what age or ability. Surf Camps are each 5 days long beginning June 10th until September 20th. The camp is all-inclusive, including food, drink and camping accommodations as well as the use of top of the line surfing equipment. Accommodations are at Campland (Mission Beach close to San Diego). Some of the facilities at Campland include an arcade, hot showers, a marina, pool & Jacuzzi, bike rentals and a general store. They supply deluxe 4 man canvas tents and mats for all campers. All you need to bring is a sleeping bag and pillow. One low fee pays for one week of surfing adventure; all you have to do is choose the week. And choosing a week is where the fun begins because they have Adults Week, Girls Week, Co-Ed Weeks and a Roxy Camp, with each "theme" week getting a slightly different slant. The maximum of campers per week is 25 so as to insure maximum results. You'll fill each day with as much surfing as possible from 9am to 4 in the afternoon. Evenings are spent with BBQ, roasting marshmallows around the campfire or chilling in the hot tub. Lessons are twice a day with a professional instructor, from beach lessons and basic mechanics on how to ride a wave on the first day, with an emphasis on safety. The week is full of surfing. And that's what you will do at your own pace. You will learn the necessary skills to ride a wave standing up all by yourself during your stay at the Paskowitz Surf Camp.
